JILLIAN NATALIE FRANCES BLYTH
April 21, 1987 - March 16, 2018
It has been 8 years since you left??! We go into your room and your spirit surrounds us. Your room was your place, it is so colourful, your purple and mauves, so cozy – a place where you loved to be in! Everything had its place – you sure could organize!
No words can describe how much we miss you. Your sweet personality, your beautiful smile, your gentleness, your kindness.
As we go about our day, especially with the re-organizing of belongings in the house, we see you! Those were Jillian’s! She was such a classy lady and so practical! I remember exactly what we were doing when she bought that. Boy, did she have good taste. She was so proud of her treasures.
We “see you” and wave as you go off to school. We have started a scholarship at that school in your name. People learn how special you were, your immense strength, your resourcefulness, your wisdom, yet you were so humble and respectful. They come to know that they want to be or already do pattern themselves after you. Especially your love of animals! Your kindness, your compassion, your caring; you live on!
We have a memorial and a garden of trees and shrubs at the Humane Society. It is open for everyone to see. You are there announcing to all the scared cats and dogs that arrive and are staying at the shelter, “You Are Safe Now”! All the wonderful work being done there, Jillian, you will always be a part of it!
We feel you by our sides giving us support, direction….“Jillian, do you think that is a good idea?” “Is that something you would venture into?” What would Jillian do or say?
We are then having a moment…. The eyes tear, the throat tightens, the breathing quickens, and the heart starts to pound! Oh my god! Why can’t we see you, why can’t we hear you, why can’t we hug you! What did we do wrong? How can this cruel reality be real?
But then, we are back to the vivid memories, the warm moments….And we can smile…..
Jillian Natalie Frances Blyth, you are forever in our thoughts and in our hearts. You make us so very proud!
Kind! Caring! Compassionate!
Perfect, beautiful daughter/sister
We love you so much!
Dad, Mom and Colin
