ARNOLD GRAMBO


Arnold Palmer Grambo (December 2, 1940 – March 22, 2026) of Brandon, Manitoba, passed away on Sunday, March 22, 2026, at the age of 85.

Arnold was born December 2, 1940, in Northern Light, Saskatchewan to Palmer and Alice Grambo, and was raised on the family farm. Following Grade 12 graduation in 1959, he moved from the farm to Brandon, Manitoba to attend University. In Brandon, he met Marilyn MacKay and they were married on August 17, 1963 at Knox United Church, Brandon.

Arnold will be remembered as a teacher, curler, coach, Brandon City Councillor, and community leader. He offered leadership in many organizations including the Hudson Bay Route Association, Habitat for Humanity, and Brandon Community Builders, giving generously of his time and inspiring many others to do the same.

Arnold was predeceased by his parents, Palmer and Alice Grambo, sisters Mildred, Thelma, Evelyn and Ruth and brothers Arvin, Arthur, Clifford and Ken.

He is survived by his loving wife of 62 years, Marilyn; four children and their families, Glen (Rebecca), Cole (Diane), Nicole (Rolf), and Paul (Katy); nine grandchildren, Anthony, Kim, Caeley (Marshal), Liam, Katryn, Alexa, Grace, Eva, and James; two great-grandchildren, Iliyana and Serena; sister Ellen, and many nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

A Memorial service will be held on Monday, April 20, 2026 at Knox United Church, 451 18th Street, Brandon, Manitoba at 11:00 a.m. Interment will take place prior to the service, at 10:00 a.m. at the Brandon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, memorial contributions in Arnold’s memory may be made to Brandon Community Builders (1-10 Outback Drive, Brandon, MB, R7C 0C2) or the Memorial Fund of Knox United Church-Brandon.
