John “Barry” Caswell passed away peacefully May 12, 2026, at St. Boniface Hospital, Winnipeg MB age 74.
He is dearly loved and remembered by his wife Donna, stepdaughters Michelle (Nathan), and Holly (Patrick), grandchildren Delilah and Dexter, brothers Callum (Heather) and Allan (Marie Jean), as well as their families.
Private Interment will take place at the Ninga Cemetery.
Donations in memory of Barry may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society; 415 1st Street, Brandon, MB R7A 2W8 or to Diabetes Canada; 1000-170 University Avenue, Toronto, ON, M5H 3B3.

My wife Janine and I have known Barry as a dear friend and co-worker since the early 1970s. He was a wonderful friend and a kind and caring man. A strange coincidence is that he was the best man at both our first weddings! Barry gave so much to the residents of Killarney in his role of Santa Claus after he retired from his job as a customs officer, a job he performed with dedication and commitment. The last years were very hard for him, but he never lost his faith in God or his good nature. Thank you dear friend for over 50 years of loving friendship. You are now in Paradise with your Lord and Saviour with no more pain.
