MAUD KATHLEEN TIO (nee PACK) Mom (Nan) passed away in her sleep with her family by her side on September 16, 2005, in Winnipeg MB. Born in London, England on May 18, 1923, she moved to Manitoba to join her husband Frank Tio in December 1945. She was predeceased by her husband Frank, her parents, a daughter, a grandson, a granddaughter, and two sons-in-law. She leaves to mourn her sisters, Rose and Ellen (both of London, England); her two sons, Tom (Selkirk, MB), George (Thunder Bay, ON); three daughters, Patricia (Winnipeg, MB), Susan (Treherne, MB), and Peggy (Thunder Bay, ON). Also she leaves behind three grandsons, 12 granddaughters, 14 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews, and extended family. At her request there will be no service. She will be cremated and put to rest with her husband and daughter at the Wakefield Church in Clandeboye, MB. A private family gathering will take place. As a last wish, she asks that we all remember the good times shared. The family would like to take this time to thank all the nurses, doctors and home-care staff who helped her before her passing. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the following charities: Canadian Cancer Society, Canadian Diabetes Association, Children's Hospital Foundation. Mom (Nan) will be lovingly missed by all. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
