Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryDANIEL SNYBJORN POLSON September 23, 1950 - September 20, 2005 Suddenly on September 20, after a good game of golf with Joe, and despite all the efforts of the staff of the 4 Rivers Health Clinic, my brother's heart stopped beating. Dan lived a simple life and shared his home with Mortimer his beloved dog of 15 years, and Guido, the stray that stayed till the end. Dan loved reading, a challenging chess game, and baseball with his buddies. Dan was an avid cyclist, and took a memorable solo cycling trip to Newfoundland. Dan unfortunately chose the coldest month on record to travel the island. To escape the cold Dan joined his friend Joe in New Brunswick. Joe invited Dan to crew a sailboat and they raced to Prince Edward Island placing third. As Dan had never sailed before, this was one of his fondest memories. Dan loved getting together with high school friends from Gordon Bell High School and maintained these friendships for over 30 years. Dan's lifelong friends from grade school were Joe Jasatrzebski and Mike Weedon. Mike and Dan had great times at Villager shoes were they tried to out sell spiffs to unsuspecting customers. Through all of life's ups and downs Mike and Joe were there for Dan. Dan worked for Celero from September 1985 until September 2005 and the family whishes to thank his co-workers for their condolences. Thank you to Eric and Saskia for including Dan in their family. Maddy and Katherine held a special place in his heart and he loved watching their amazing minds grow. Judy-Mae and Phil wish to thank the staff at Dorchester Developments Ltd. for their care and support during our time of grief. Thank you to all our friends and family who have offered words of comfort and offers of assistance. In keeping with Dan's wishes a private service will be held. Dan was predeceased by his loving mother Marguerite Polson in 1973 and leaves to mourn his passing, his sister Judy-Mae and brother-in-law Phil Goss. If friends or family wish to do so, a donation may be made to the Winnipeg Boys and Girls Club where Dan volunteered numerous hours. I will miss my brother greatly and I thank God for choosing me as his sister. May you rest in peace Dan. THOMSON FUNERAL HOME 669 Broadway 783- 7211
