TERESA PROFETA On Friday October 28, 2005 at the age of 80, Teresa (Mama) left us to be with her heavenly father and family. Born on May 6, 1925 in Montorio Italy, she leaves to mourn her passing her beloved husband Alessandro, children, Joe (Karen), Gabe (Irene), Clerio (Marylyn), George (Susan), Luigi (Marie), Romeo, Anna and predeceased daughter Isolina. Brother Angelo and sister Franca in Italy as well as many sisters and brothers-in law, 11 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. Teresa (Mamma) dedicated her heart and soul to taking care her family and helping others who were sick and needing help. Teresa (Mamma) loved to cook and having her large family come to the house and sit around the numerous tables her and dad set up to enjoy her specially prepared Italian tradition meals and Mamma and Papa would be glowing in joy to see her family together. Mamma was a wonderful person through and through and she was loved by so many who got to meet her and knew her, but know that she will live in our hearts and memories for ever. The family would like to thank you the staff at River East Personal care home and the Nurses, Doctors and staff at ward 5 B at St. Boniface Hospital for the care and compassion give to Mamma. Prayers for Teresa will be said on Tuesday November 1, 8.30 p.m. at Holy Rosary Church. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday November 2 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave. with Fr. Sam Argenziano presiding. Interment to follow at Waverley Memorial Gardens, 1501 Waverley St. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Teresa to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 102 - 310 Broadway, Winnipeg, MB R3C 0S6.
