Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOAO RAPOSO Peacefully on November 7, 2005 at the Selkirk District General Hospital, Joao Raposo, aged 72 years, late of Petersfield and formerly of Winnipeg and Portugal. Joao was born in Portugal on January 6, 1933 and came to Canada in 1966. He settled in Winnipeg and had worked for C.P.R. for 27 years, retiring in 1993. He leaves surviving his beloved wife, Urselina; his children Inez Schenker (Wilbert), John (Anita) and Julie (Carlos); grandchildren, Suzie (Paul), Tony, Anthony (Jennifer), Angie, Jennifer, Sammi, Sabrina and Ryan; great-grandchildren, Julianna and Eric; brothers, Manuel, Frank and Victor; sisters, Rosa and Aldora; and numerous nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, Vitorino and Maria; a son Joe Raposo in 1996, and a sister Maria. Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, November 10 at 10:30 a.m. in the St. Anne's Roman Catholic Church, Petersfield with Fr. Boguslaw Wardzinski officiating. Viewing at the church from 9:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Interment in the Churchyard Cemetery. Gilbart Funeral Home, Selkirk in care of arrangements.
