MARTHA PODJAN Martha Podjan (nee Schwab) passed away peacefully at the Middlechurch Nursing Home on November 18, 2005 at the age of 86 years. Leaving behind to cherish her memory are: Alvin (Marilyn), Mavis (Bruce), Edwin (Deloris), Wayne (Margaret) and Janet (Maurice), 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her brother Gordon and six sisters, Milly, Esther, Dinah, Dorothy, Alice and Eleanor as well as numerous nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Gustav, great-grandson Shawn Loewen and daughter-in-law Linda Podjan. Martha was born August 10, 1919 at Mowbray, MB and grew up on the Schwab family farm at Overstone, MB. After marrying Gus, she lived most of her life farming in the Niverville, MB area. Their retirement years were spent in the town of Niverville. Due to Mom's declining health, her last years were spent in the Middlechurch Nursing Home. The family would like to extend special thanks to the staff of the Middlechurch Home for the special care and compassion shown to our mother. The funeral service will be held at the Niverville United Church on Tuesday, November 22 at 11:00 a.m., viewing at 10:30 a.m., with interment at the Niverville cemetery. Luncheon will follow at the Niverville Heritage Centre, 2nd Avenue South, Niverville. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Society, the Middlechurch Nursing Home or the charity of one's choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220
