Date of Passing: Nov 21, 2005
Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryLIONEL A. BEAUCHEMIN February 1, 1927 - November 21, 2005 It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved husband, Dad, Pepere, brother, brother-in-law, uncle and friend. Surrounded by love, Lionel passed away November 21 with his family by his side at Foyer Valade. Lionel was predeceased by his sister Denise in infancy, his parents, Joseph and Beatrice. Lionel is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Adrienne (Carriere); his eight loving children and his 17 grandchildren. Jacqueline (Dale), Daniel, Janelle and Joel; Angele (Brian), Ghislaine and Melanie; Bernadette (Gordon), Nicole and Monica; Evelyne (Robert), Mathieu and Patrick; Claude (Sheila) and Jillian; Andre (Shirley), Riley and Breanne; Monique (Renald), Justin and Jude; Joseph (Kathryn), Madyson, Joshua and Brody, as well as his caring siblings, Lucile (Oswald), Simone (late Jean Baptiste), Romeo (Jeane), Denis (Jeannine), Dolores (Louis) and many nieces and nephews. Dad was born and raised in Ile Des Chenes, the same town in which he and his wife later raised their own family. A devoted husband and father, Dad was a kind and generous man, a hard worker who provided for his family. A man of strong faith and principles, he taught his children the true value of family. The solid base he provided for his family continues to be seen today. Dad had an affinity for hockey, and could be found enjoying Hockey Night in Canada, especially when his beloved Canadiens took to the ice, as well as watching his sons' and his grandsons' games. Dad is much loved and respected. We have many wonderful memories of family gatherings and although Dad didn't say a lot, we know he was enjoying himself. His grandchildren will always watch out for the flowerbeds and remember to shut the door when the air conditioner is on. But most of all, they will miss his gentle guidance. The family would like to thank all the health care professionals who provided care to our husband and father, beginning with Dr. Michael West whose expertise blessed us with four more years with our Dad, also, to the many doctors, nurses, physiotherapy staff, aides, volunteers and everyone who supported him throughout his journey. Our sincere appreciation to the staff of Foyer Valade who provided love and care to Dad. We thank also family and friends who have supported us through this difficult time. Your support has meant so much to us. We will miss you Lionel, Dad, Pepere, L.B. Funeral mass will be celebrated at the Notre-Dame-de-la-Misericorde Roman Catholic Church in Ile-des-Chenes, MB on Friday, November 25 at 10:30 a.m. viewing at 10:00 a.m. Fr. Edmond Baril will celebrate the mass. Interment will take place in the Ile-des-Chenes Parish Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of one's choice. LECLAIRE BROTHERS in care of arrangements. 775-2220.
