NELDA PUSHKAR Peacefully, on Tuesday, December 20, 2005, at Seven Oaks Hospital, Nelda Pushkar, aged 88 years, of Winnipeg. Nelda was born in Makuniw, Ukraine. During the war in 1942, she was taken to Germany to work on the farms. Nelda married Mike in 1945 and together they immigrated to Canada in 1948, settling in Winnipeg. Besides her husband Mike of 60 years, Nelda will be lovingly remembered by her son Bohdan and daughter-in-law Maria of Winnipeg; daughters, Natalia (Roman) and Olia (Alex); and four great-grandchildren, Maxim, Nina, Serhiy, Oleh, all of Australia; nephew Paul Najda (Gail) of Winnipeg; nephews and nieces in Ukraine. Panakhyda will be sung 7:00 p.m. Friday, December 23 at Korban Funeral Chapel, 907 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 24 at Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral, 115 McGregor St., with Rt. Rev. Msgr. Mitrat M. Buyachok officiating, assisted by Fr. M. Kouts. Interment will follow in All Saints Cemetery. Special thanks are extended to Dr. J. Moncek and Seven Oaks Hospital, 3rd Floor, Unit 6 staff for the care and compassion given to Nelda. In lieu of flowers, donations in Nelda's memory may be made to Divine Liturgies for the repose of her soul, or to Sts. Vladimir and Olga Cathedral. VICHNAYA PAMYAT KORBAN FUNERAL CHAPEL 956-2193
