JULIA LOUISE NOELLE QUISTBERG It is with deepest sorrow that we announce the passing away of our beloved mother and wife, Julia Louise Noelle Quistberg, on December 26, 2005 at 3:00 p.m., after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer. Born in Elmwood on December 25, 1924 to her parents, Marie and Bill (William) Jones, both previously deceased, she married the love of her life Gordon Quistberg on July 12, 1946, moving out to Transcona where she and Gordon (Quiz) resided for over 40 years. They raised their daughter Susan and enjoyed the family lifestyle. Louise's many varied interests included reading, bowling, sewing and many different crafts including quilting in later years. She also enjoyed the many wonderful times spent with family and friends at their cottage on Lake Muriel. She loved animals and was especially fond of her daughter's cats on whom she showered much love and attention. She was a great friend to all who knew her; a truly grand lady and a patient, kind and caring mother and wife. In later years Louise and Quiz moved out to a retirement village in Ste. Anne, MB, where they made many wonderful new friends and she lived happily until her illness. Left to grieve her memory is her husband of 59 years, Quiz and her daughter Susan of Steinbach. Besides her parents she was predeceased by her sister Alice Walker and brother-in-law Maurice Walker. Louise will be desperately missed; but the mark she left in our hearts are her precious gifts that will never be forgotten.
