DORIS TIPPETT (nee PARSONS) Peacefully with her family at her side on December 26, 2005 Doris passed away. Her memories will be cherished by her loving husband of 64 years, John and five children, June (Dale) Kelowna, BC, John of Blaine Lake, SK, Laura (Glen) of Anola, MB, Linda (Bob) of 100 Mile House, BC and Ann (Rob) of Winnipeg; also nine grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren. Also survived by loving sisters, Lillian, Peggy, Joan and Trudy. Predeceased by brother Don, sister Elsie and daughter-in-law Brenda. A long time resident of St. Vital and a wonderful 30 years of retirement in Kelowna, BC. She enjoyed her crafting groups and making hand crafted quilts and gifts for her family. John and Doris have many wonderful memories of camping, fishing, world travel, home life and the bounty of year after year of their garden. As were Doris's wishes, cremation will take place and a private family service will be held where she was born on January 16, 1922 in Minnedosa, MB at a later date. In lieu of flowers, family would ask that any donations be made in Doris's memory to the War Amps of British Columbia. Special thanks for the kindness and care of the Douglas Fir Wing of Cottonwood Care Centre and the staff fourth floor Acute Stroke Unit at Kelowna General Hospital. For those lives she touched we ask you to plant a yellow rose in her memory. Condolences may be sent to the family by visiting www.firstmemorialkelowna.com
