CARMELA PUGLISI (nee DIGRAZIA) November 11, 1931- January 12, 2006 It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Carmela Puglisi on Thursday, January 12, 2006 at the Maples Personal Care Home. Carmela was predeceased by her loving husband Mario and her parents. She leaves to cherish her memory her loving children, Salvatore (Louise), Antonio (Marilyn), Maria (Armand), Concettina (Darryl), Nunzia; her grandchildren, Chantel, Matthew, Nicholas, Stephanie; also her sister Fina (Nino) Bellobono and their children of British Columbia, her three sisters and four brothers all from Italy and numerous nieces and nephews. Carmela was born in Catania, Italy, being the eldest, she helped her mother care for her eight siblings, and helped her father with their family business. Carmela moved to Canada in May 1956 and worked at Yards and Yards, then at the Paris Building for three years, as a cleaning lady. A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday, January 18 at 10:00 a.m. in the Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Ave., with a viewing one half hour prior to the service. Cremation will follow and the interment will occur at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations in Carmela's memory may be made to the Children's Wish Foundation, 350 St. Mary's Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3C 3J2. The Coutu family in care of arrangements: E. J. COUTU CO.
