FRANK QUIRING 1925 - 2006 Our beloved husband, father and grandfather, Frank Quiring was called into the loving arms of his Saviour on February 2, 2006. He died peacefully at Concordia Hospital after a brief illness. Frank was born in Schonau, Sagradovka, USSR and immigrated to Canada in 1948 after the war. He was married to Nettie Enns in 1955 and this year, they celebrated 50 happy years of marriage together. Together they raised their family in North Kildonan. He leaves to mourn his loving wife, Nettie; his children, Elaine (Rob) Thornhill, Karen (Dave) Taylor, Brian (Dorothy) Quiring and grandchildren, Stephanie, Andrea, Naomi (Mark), Graham, Alyssa, Natasha, and Eli. He also leaves his sisters, Justina (Nick) Lowen, Tina Meyer, Anna Peters and many nieces and nephews. Frank's faith in Christ was a very important part of his life. He was baptised as a young man. He established and passed on a legacy of faith and prayer to his children and grandchildren. Family and friends enjoyed his sense of humour and his positive outlook on life. Everyone who came in contact with him enjoyed his company and he theirs. Frank took pride in his accomplishments in a career in construction and development but his family always came first. He was a very loving husband and father. The family would like to thank Dr. J. Bergen, the staff at Donwood, and dad's caregivers from Home Care and at Concordia Hospital. We love you dad. The funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, February 6 at McIvor Avenue Mennonite Brethren Church with a viewing prior to the service. Interment to follow in Glen Eden Memorial Gardens.
