BALLY THOM (GEIST) Surrounded by her family our Mother, Grandmother, Granny was called home by the Lord on Sunday, February 5, 2006. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Jimmy without whom she was never complete. She married her one true love in 1944 and is now reunited with him. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by children, Cynthia (Cliff) Wells, Craig (Darlene), Michael (Cynthia); grandchildren, Darcy (Brett) Balog, Lindsay (Jason) Polet, Clayton (Amy), Fraser (Michele), Roberta and Jessica, and great-grandchildren, Gabriella and Chloe Balog, Madison and Craig, Cooper Polet and Ryan and special nieces and nephew Merle, Jennifer and Stacy. Family time was important to Mom. We spent endless weekends together with her sisters and our cousins. These times were full of her imaginative games, cards, dinners, music, laughs and tea parties. Mom took special joy with her porcelain doll collections. This started as a hobby with her sister Florence, and flourished into a passion. Bally was a member of Grace Lutheran Church over 50 years, as well as the Lutheran Service Club. Thank you to the marvelous staff at Seven Oaks 4th Floor U3. Memorial service will be held on Thursday, February 9 at 2:00 p.m. at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Ave. In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or Heart and Stroke Foundation.
