Blaine was born in Portage la Prairie on March 12, 1984 to Marilyn Beaulieu (nee Houle) and Kenneth Beaulieu. He leaves to mourn his passing his brothers, Andrew (Janice), Elgin (Stephanie), and Kendall, nephews Teegan, Seth, Sebastian, and niece Shailyn. Blaine was dearly loved and will be very sadly missed by all his extended family, (uncles, aunts, and cousins) and a great many friends and fans. His greatest love next to his family, was hockey, and his proudest achievements were the awards he received as a hockey player. He attended school at Sandy Bay School, Sagkeeng, and in Regina. He was first drafted at the age of 15 years to the Regina Pats in Regina. This early career started him on his hockey journey to many places and to making many friends along the way. These friendships extended across all ages. He was a handsome, vibrant young man with exceptional athletic talent. He was a gifted hockey player who loved the game and celebrated victories, from the smallest to the biggest. He did so with his friends and hockey buddies. At Blaine's untimely passing, he leaves to mourn his hockey teammates, the Long Plains Fire. A wake service will be held daily on February 13, 14, and 15 in Sandy Bay at the residence of Marilyn Beaulieu. Prayers will be conducted in the evening at the home. Blaine's favourite breakfast will be served from 7:00 - 10:00 a.m. on February 16 at the residence. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, February 16 at 2:00 p.m. at the Sandy Bay Complex with viewing taking place at 12:00 noon. Interment at Sandy Bay Cemetery will be followed by a light lunch at Marilyn Beaulieu's residence.
