EDWARD (ED) THOMAS Peacefully, with family by his side, Ed passed away on Friday, February 17, 2006, at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 90 years. Ed is survived by his daughter Linda; his son Bob; his grandchildren, Burke and Drew. He was predeceased by his wife Mabel Anna in 1983. Ed was born in 1916 in Saskatchewan and grew up in Winnipeg. He started his own trucking company in his early 20s and continued until his retirement. Ed truly enjoyed his time travelling south to the United States. His stories and conversations were well liked by everyone who knew him. The family would like to thank the doctors, nurses and staff at the St. Boniface Hospital for their care and compassion. Funeral service will be held on Monday, February 20 at 2:00 p.m. at Desjardins Funeral Chapel, 357, Des Meurons St. Burial will take place on Tuesday, February 21 at 3:00 p.m. at Thomson in the Park Cemetery, 1291 McGillivray Blvd. In lieu of flowers, memorial donation may be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, P.O.
