ANN PURCELL (KOBAR)

ANN PURCELL (nee KOBAR) Ann passed away on January 30, 2006 at the Royal Victoria Hospital, Barrie, Ontario, at the age of 76 years following a lengthy illness. Ann spent her childhood years at Herb Lake, Man. She attended Rupert's Land Girls' School and Success Business College in Winnipeg. In 1959 she married Phillip Purcell and has since resided in Toronto and Barrie, Ontario, with her family. She was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Ann is survived by her beloved husband Phillip Purcell; her only child, Lori June Stephens and husband Robert; three cherished grandchildren, Jessica, Jeffrey and Jaclyn of Barrie; her sister June Berg and husband Mel of Winnipeg; also numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by her parents Peter and Gertrude Kobar; and her brothers Bart Kobar and Jack Kobar. Funeral service was held in Barrie on February 3, 2006. Donations in Ann's memory, if desired, can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society or a charity of one's choice.
