RENE EDOUARD BEAUDETTE 1933-2006 On March 9, 2006, René passed away peacefully at the age of 72 with his family at his side. He will be sadly missed by his wife of 42 ½ years, Stella (nee Dumontier); his children and grandchildren: Doris (Stan) Chwist, Tamara, Anastasia, and Christophe, Gisèle (Michel) Alarie, Candace and Kenneth, Nicole (Andy Mendel), Randy and Nadine, Chantal (Joe) Hofer, Danika, Chandra, Jennifer, and Mehgan. He is survived by his brother Lucien, his sisters Claire Bouchard, Carmelle (Alcide) Collette, Angéline St. Godard, and Yvonne (Raymond) Labossière. He is also survived by his mother-in-law Annette Dumontier, his brothers-and-sisters-in-law, Marie Léa Ross, Albert (Renée) Dumontier, Irène Bruneau, Estelle (Andre) Lecocq, Raymond (Dolorès) Dumontier, Carmelle Dumontier, Richard Vermette, Claude (Denise) Dumontier, Harvey (Karie) Dumontier. As well, he is remembered by numerous nephews, nieces, and friends, including the Jackson's from Powell River. René was predeceased by his parents Jos and Marie-Anne, his sister Alice, his brothers Alphonse, Léonide, and Olivier, and a grandson Rossel. René lived his life to the fullest. He started farming at an early age and followed his father's footsteps. He took an active part in the Agricultural Society, the Farmer's Union and various community services. He was an active curler and followed many hockey games. He enjoyed snowmobiling, camping, and travelling. He was a great husband, generous father, and a super grandfather. We love him very much and we will remember him always. We would like to give special thanks to the Health Sciences Centre and the Morris General Hospital Staffs for their excellent care of René and their great support to the whole family. We thank everyone for the food, prayers and support to our family during the past seven weeks. The funeral mass will be celebrated at the St. Jean Baptiste Roman Catholic Church on Tuesday March 14 at 7:00 p.m., with a tribute prior. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Palliative Care Unit in Morris or a charity of your choice. Au revoir mon cher époux. Au revoir notre papa et grandpapa. Nous te reverrons un jour.
