BEATRICE (BEA) EMMALINE TIBBLE 1925 - 2006 Our family is deeply saddened to announce the untimely passing of Bea Tibble on March 13, 2006, following a short illness. Bea leaves to mourn and cherish her memory her daughter Jean Minish (Barry); son Tom (Brenda); and grandchildren, Tom Jr. and Brittany; as well as her brothers, Wilfred, Ed and Gordon (Gail) Smith; and sisters, Edna Olson (Leonard) and Edith Bishop and many nephews and nieces. She was predeceased by her husband Roland; parents, Austin and Grace Smith; twin sister Beulah Davidson; and brothers, Fred, Donald, Walter and Dave Smith. Bea lived in Swan River where she worked as a nurse from 1954 to 1989. She enjoyed being baby nurse' and was proud to admit that she had cared for two different generations of mothers and babies. Bea was also a Band Mom', a Hockey Mom' and a Football Mom', a volunteer for many team outings. After retirement, Bea continued to keep a garden and was well known for her cooking ability. She enjoyed cooking and was known to provide baked goodies for many friends and neighbours. Bea moved to Portage la Prairie in 2002 to be closer to her family. While she maintained an attitude of fierce independence, she was also willing to accept assistance from family and friends, when they asked if she needed anything. Bea moved to Douglas Campbell Lodge in December, 2005 where she continued to exercise her independence with the fond indulgence of staff. Bea enjoyed her last months at Douglas Campbell and felt protected and well cared for. Tom and Jean would like to acknowledge the kindness and assistance provided to Bea by our Swan River and Portage families, with particular thanks to the entire Olson family for always being there with a helping hand for us and to the Shadbolts, Fulfords, Jean Peden and Nancy Dow for their longstanding friendship and kindness. A very special appreciation is extended to the staff of Douglas Campbell Lodge for their care, concern and friendship. The scrabble game now continues with her sister Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held from the St. Andrews United Church in Swan River, MB on Friday March 17 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Salesi Takau officiating. Prior to the service the Inurnment will take place in the family plot at the Birchwood Cemetery, Swan River, MB. Flowers are gratefully declined. It was Bea's wish that donations be forwarded to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Manitoba or to a charity of your choice. Arrangements are entrusted to Jim Webster of Swan Valley Funeral Services Ltd., 363 Kelsey Trail (Hwy. 10 North), Swan River, MB 734-5775
