Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPEARL EDITH RATTE (nee BULLARD) September 2, 1924 March 19, 2006 It is with great sadness that we announce the sudden passing of our dear mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Pearl, on March 19, 2006 at the age of 81 years. Pearl was born in Banff, AB, in 1924. She served in the Royal Canadian Army during the Second World War, where she met and then married her husband Joseph Edmond Raymond Ratte. She was predeceased by her husband Ray in 1985 and by her sister Joyce Smith. She leaves to mourn her six children and their spouses: Rick (Cheryl), Marcel (Sue), Elaine (Ernie), Vic, Paul (Lynda) and Pat (Don); her sisters, Gladys and Lorna; brother Garth; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; numerous cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pearl was an active member and volunteer in many organizations over the years. She belonged to the St. Vital Legion, The Riverside Lionelles and the M.S.O.S. Pearl enjoyed playing her Kinsman Jackpot Bingo, bowling and playing cards. She loved the outdoors and spending time at her cottage in St. Malo, MB. She was the #1 Fan at all of her families' sporting events and activities and never missed an opportunity to cheer someone on. The family wishes to thank the staff at the St. Boniface Hospital. Funeral service will take place on Thursday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy # 1 East and Navin Rd, with viewing half hour prior to service time. Interment to follow in Green Acres Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if family and friends so desire, donations may be made in Pearl's memory to the Canadian Heart and Stroke Foundation, 6 Donald Street, Winnipeg, Manitoba R3L 0K6.
