Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJAMES E. THURSTON Suddenly, on Tuesday, March 21, 2006, at the St. Boniface Hospital, James Thurston passed away at the age of 71 years. Jim was predeceased by his parents, Eva and Percy Thurston. He will be lovingly remembered by his beloved wife Lucille, their children, Derrick (Shannon), Michelle Samson, Greg (Miriam), Todd (Lori); grandchildren, Brett and Erik Thurston, Rikki and Shae Samson, James Cyr, numerous brothers / sisters in-law, nieces, nephews, cousins and his Aunt Marje Matchett of Regina, SK. Jim was born in Regina June 12, 1934. He was a loyal husband, father, grandfather and dear friend. Jim's passion was golf and was known for tinkering in his garage. A celebration of Jim's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, March 24, at Glen Lawn Funeral Home, 455 Lagimodiere Blvd. A private family interment will take place at Glen Lawn Memorial Gardens at a later time. Special thanks are extended to all the doctors and nursing staff of Palliative Care at St. Boniface Hospital. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in memory of Jim to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or the St. Boniface Hospital Foundation. Jim was great person and a fair person to have done business with. I was fortunate enough to have known Jim through business and he became a friend of the family, especially to my father, Tom Lester, who passed last August. Our sympathies from the Tom Lester Family.
