Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryJOHN (JACK) H. T. POUND John (Jack) H.T. Pound of Fort Myers, FL, passed away March 11, 2006. He and his family moved to St. Paul, MN from Canada in 1946 and following retirement in 1983, he and his wife took up residence in Fort Myers. He was a devoted family man and is survived by is daughters, Dr. Marlys Bucher (Dr. Clint), Leslee Pound, son John (Debbie), five grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, brother Norman (Eileen) of Winnipeg, sister Ernestine Pound of Arizona and extended family and friends. He was predeceased by his wife of 62 years, Irene (nee Yager), in 2004, son Kevin and daughter Alix and his parents, the Rev. and Mrs. E.D. Pound. Prior to moving to the United States, he was involved in war work in Fort William, ON for five years. Jack was born May 9, 1919 in Bowsman, MB. The family moved to Winnipeg in 1930 where he received most of his education and early employment. Jack was a very innovative person and enjoyed traveling, meeting people and was a master bridge player. A service was held at the McGregor Baptist Church in Florida and interment will be in Minnesota followed by a memorial service at a later date. Jack, peace be with you, we will miss you.
