DENIS EMMETT PATRICK BEDARD After a long and courageous battle, Denis Bedard passed away with his family and friends by his side, on Thursday, March 30, 2006. He was predeceased by his father Gerard. Denis will be lovingly remembered by his wife and soulmate Joanne; sons, Kevin (Tara) and Paul; Patsy and Pepper; mother Theresa; sister Janelle, nieces, Nicole, Susan and Lisa; brother Larry; brother-in-law Carl (Elsa), nieces, Hettie and Carol; special friends, Ida Bauer and Fr. Earl Smith; as well as many other closed friends. Denis struggled through life with a quiet dignity always able to maintain his sense of humour and put others before his own needs. For someone who rarely caught a fish he still managed to have a passion for fishing. His pride and joy was the cottage that he built with his sons at Victoria Beach. Prayers will be held on Tuesday, April 4 at 7:00 p.m. at the Glen Eden Funeral Home, 4477 Main St. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday, April 5 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Peter's Roman Catholic Church, 748 Keewatin St., with Fr. Earl Smith celebrant. The family wishes to express a sincere Thank you to all the staff on GH5, Health Sciences Centre, who were his special angels. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, donations in Denis' memory may be made to St. Paul's High School, Bursary Fund, 2200 Grant Ave., Winnipeg, MB R3P 0P8.
