BERTHIER GAETAN POIRIER It is with deep sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Berthier, on Sunday, April 2, 2006 at the St. Boniface General Hospital, at the age of 69 years. Remaining to forever cherish in his memory are his only daughter Anita Poirier (Kevin Richmond); grandchildren, Cassidy and Parker Richmond; mother Germaine Poirier; sister Rejeanne Carrier (Antonin); brothers, Gilles Poirier (Claudette), Jean-Guy Poirier; as well as numerous relatives and friends. From 1953 to 1962 Berthier was in the Canadian Armed Forces. He then went and worked for Mid-West Drilling Company until the early 80's. Due to health reasons he changed careers, up until his retirement he worked for Metropol Security. Berthier was a kind hearted man and who was always there for his daughter. He was also a very proud Pepere to his two grandchildren, who he enjoyed many lunch dates with. In compliance with Berthier's wishes, no formal funeral service will be held. A special thank-you to the Winnipeg Paremedic Service and to all the staff in SICU at the St Boniface General Hospital and to all our family and friends here and in Ontario and Quebec. Thank-you to all for your condolences and support. Pepere, we love you and miss you and know you are looking down on us.
