Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPETER PRYSIAZNIUK January 17, 1936 - May 28, 2006 Suddenly, on May 28, 2006, Peter Prysiazniuk passed away at the Johnson Memorial Hospital, Gimli, MB. He is survived by his loving wife Mary; children Donna Avila (William) of California, Patricia Reimer (Tony) of Landmark, Terry Prysiazniuk (Paula) of Winnipeg; grandchildren Brant and Andrea Maraschuk; Austin and Zack Reimer, Kayla and Amanda Prysiazniuk, sister Agnes Feniuk (Eugene) of Winnipeg, Mary Philipchuk of Brooks, AB, Effie Holowko of Gimli, MB; brother John Prysiazniuk (Irene) of Winnipeg, Uncle bill Gregoraschuk, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Predeceased by his parents Afanasey and Lena; son-in-law Harvey Maraschuk and grandson Aaron Reimer, numerous aunts and uncles. Peter was born in Carlowrie, MB where he grew up on the family farm. In 1959 he married Mary (nee Zosiak) and raised three children in Winnipeg. Peter was employed with Swifts Meat Packers and Motor Coach Industries where he retired from. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His main interests were camping, fishing, gardening and especially dancing to his favorite country and Ukrainian music. In 1995 he moved to Matlock, MB where he retired. There he made many new friends. Prayers will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at 7:30 p.m. at Knysh Funeral Chapel, 1020 Main St. Divine Liturgy will be celebrated on Friday June 2 at 11:00 a.m. at Sts. Peter and Paul Ukrainian Catholic Church, Winnipeg Beach, MB. Rev. Father H. Chuckry officiating. Interment to follow. Pallbearers will be Larry Philipchuk, Andrew Feniuk, John Holowko, Robert, Darren, Doug and Cory Prysiazniuk. Honorary Pallbearers will be Ross Buchanan and Greg Bugera. The family would like to express their heartfelt thanks to Dr. Montoya, nursing staff and especially Darlene, for all their care and support.
