MARY RATTIE (nee ULRICH) Peacefully on Monday, May 29, 2006, Mary Rattie, aged 87 years, of Fraserwood, MB passed away at the Hunter Memorial Hospital, Teulon. Mary was born on November 4, 1918 in Fraserwood, MB. On August 9, 1938 she married Gus and they resided on the family farm west of Fraserwood. In 1998 Mary moved into the town of Fraserwood where she lived until her passing. Mary leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Linda (Ron); grandchildren, Nancy (Rocky), Brandy (Justin), Donna (Kevin) and Adam; and great-grandchildren, Brandon, Sarah, Dylan, Jordin and Emma all of Fraserwood. She was predeceased by her husband Gus, infant son Billy and son Art. Grandma loved baking her famous cinnamon buns which the great-grandkids couldn't get enough of. She loved knitting, we have enough slippers and mitts to last for years. If you have ever visited grandma's house you would know food was on the way, even before your shoes were off, as dishes would start rattling, nobody ever left without her giving you lunch. Funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 1 at 1:00 p.m. in the Gimli Lutheran Church in Gimli, MB with Pastor Ron Vert officiating. Viewing at the church one hour prior to the service Interment to follow in the Peace Lutheran Cemetery west of Fraserwood. Her pallbearers will be Adam Krochenski, Rocky Karish, Justin Yablonski, Kevin Porteous, Rudy Singbiel and Jason Skoropet. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Teulon Hospital. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Peace Lutheran Cemetery, Box 48, Fraserwood, MB R0C 1A0. Gilbart Funeral Chapel, Gimli in care of arrangements.
