Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryGEORGE PURCHASE On July 3, 2006, after a period of declining health, George Purchase passed away peacefully with his family by his side at the Concordia Hospital at the age of 78 years. George will be sadly missed by his wife Mary of 54 years, daughter Gail (Barry), son George (Kathy), grandchildren Cara, Christine, Braden and Keith. He is also survived by one sister Hazel Purchase of North Vancouver, BC. He also leaves to mourn many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his mother and stepfather. George was employed by the C.N.R. and worked as a pipe fitter at the Transcona Shops for 38 years. In his younger years he was actively involved in coaching hockey and baseball. Dad took great pride in his family and providing us with direction in life. A funeral service will be held on Thursday July 6, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street.
