DANIEL ANDREW PYNOO It is with great sadness the family announces the passing of Daniel Pynoo on Friday, July 14, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital at the age of 81 years. Dan was born on December 28, 1924 to Jules and Zoe Pynoo of Wevelgem, Belgium, where he lived until he was five years old. He immigrated to Canada in 1929 and lived the rest of his life in the St. Boniface area. In 1943 he joined the Royal Canadian Air Force, and was stationed in Edmonton and Yorkton. While serving in the air force he spent time overseas where he met his loving wife of 60 years, Olive. They returned to Winnipeg in 1947 where they raised their daughter Diane. Dan worked in the family business, Pynoo Construction, where he took great pride in his work on both houses and hotels throughout the province. Dan was a founding member of Heather Game and Fish where he made many lifelong friends. He loved spending time with family and friends at the lake in Lac du Bonnet. Family was very important to him as were his friends. He was always willing to lend a hand and knowledge of his carpentry skills. Dan will be lovingly remembered by his wife of 60 years, Olive; his daughter Diane (Danny) Dowler; granddaughter Debbie (Bob); grandson Darcy (Christina), and their children, Sarah, Grace, Mackenzie, Hannah, and Abby and granddaughter Cathy (Cam) and their children, Mathew, Sara, and Lily. He will also be remembered by his brother Art (Merle), sister-in-law Joyce, nieces and nephews, nephew-in-law Jim Hansel, and special niece Mandy (Terry) Dooley and Erin. A memorial service celebrating Daniel's life will be held on Wednesday, July 19 at 11:00 a.m. in the Coutu Funeral Chapel, 680 Archibald Street. In lieu of flowers, if friends so desire, a donation in memory of Dan can be made to a charity of one's choice. The Coutu Family in care of arrangements: E.J COUTU CO.
