LOUELLA ADA BEESE (nee STAPLES) It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Louella Ada Beese (nee Staples) who died peacefully at the Middlechurch Home on August 8, 2006 at the age of 99 years. Louella was born in Ontario in 1906 to parents George and Ada Staples. She was one of eight siblings. The family moved from Ontario to Treherne where Louella attended school and later met her husband Wilfrid Beese. Wilfrid was employed at his father's business, the Red and White Stores, which later became Tom Boy Stores and Louella worked for the Hudson's Bay Company for 40 years. After their retirement, she and Wilfrid moved to Fred Douglas Place and later she moved to the Middlechurch Home. Louella is survived by numerous nieces and nephews and was predeceased by her husband Wilfrid in 1996, her parents, a brother and six sisters. A graveside service was held on Friday, August 11 at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. Special thanks to the staff at the Middlechurch Home for their care and kindness. A private memorial service has taken place at Louella's request. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to a charity of one's choice.
