GENEVIEVE (SLIVINSKI) TIMMERMAN 1917-2006 On Friday, October 27, 2006 with family at her side, Genevieve Timmerman, our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother died unexpectedly at St. Boniface Hospital. She is lovingly remembered by daughter Joan McCallum (Gary) and children Ian (Tanis) andMichele (Chris); daughter Jeannette Timmerman (Peter Loly) and children Aimee (Mark) Erin (Dale) and Louise (Curtis); son Peter (Maurine) and his son Russell (mother Happie). She is also survived by her great-grandchildren Meghan, Joshua, Kathleen, Tyler, Genevieve, Rachel, Rebecca, Angela and Robert; her sister Angela and brother Frank (Florence). She was predeceased by her husband, Emile, in 1996. Genevieve was a long-time member of St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church in West Kildonan. She also was an active member for years at Bleak House Senior Centre. She had many interests including paper tole, crocheting, baking her famous cookies, going for long walks, reading, Scrabble which she most often won, hand-crafting items for sale at CancerCare, and in earlier years lawn bowling and bicycling until age 75. She treasured her friends both old and new. Her greatest joy was attending family gatherings large or small. She lived her last 12 years at Villa Cabrini in Osborne Village. She enjoyed her home there, the activities and the fact she could remain independent. It was at this time Holy Rosary Parish became her spiritual home. We wish to thank the staff and many volunteers at Villa Cabrini, the Winnipeg Fire Paramedic Service, the staff at the St. Boniface Emergency, and Pastoral Care Team. Your assistance, care and compassion are very much appreciated. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Holy Rosary Church, 510 River Avenue on Wednesday, November 1 at 11:00 a.m. with Fr. Sam Argenziano officiating assisted by Deacon Gary McCallum. Flowers gratefully declined. If friends so desire donations may be made to a charity of their choice. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
