Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS M. QUINN It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mom, Nanna, Mort , Great on Saturday, October 28, 2006 at Rosewood Lodge. Predeceased by her husband Maxwell Allott, 1970 and by husband Jim Quinn, 2001; her parents, Hugo and Kathleen Ringel; sisters, Marg, Muriel, Rose and Lorraine. Phyllis leaves to cherish her memory, daughter Donna (Paul) Reimer of Stonewall, MB and son Jim Allott of Vancouver, BC; grandchildren, Geoffrey (Jolene) Reimer, Jennifer (Andrew) Lewis, Jennifer Allott; great-grandchildren, Charli and Evan Reimer, as well as many nieces and nephews. Phyllis was born January 21, 1919 and raised in Winnipeg. As a youth, she was a speedskater and continued her love of sports throughout her life, including support of her beloved Blue Bombers. Blessed with talent, Phyllis was an excellent seamstress, sewing everything from entire wardrobes to football uniforms. She took great pride as an active member of Girls Club Deer Lodge Ladies Five Pin Association and the Anglican Church, in being a Winnipegger and a Canadian. Among her passions were the love of music and dancing, travel and the cottage at Victoria Beach. Mom was a woman of great integrity, kind and generous who touched the lives of many. Phyllis lived her life with honesty, dignity, grace, determination, strength and acceptance. These attributes served her well in her later years as she bravely fought failing health but never lost her wonderful sense of humour. She was extremely proud of her family and we could always count on her positive support and sympathetic ear. As you were you will always be, Treasured forever in our memory. Until we meet again. The family would like to thank the staff of Rosewood Lodge for the care and compassion she received. Elaine, Laura Lee, Bev and Debbi, thank you. We would also like to express our sincere gratitude to Phyllis's three special friends, Judy-Joyce, Frances and Tracy and her guardian angel Mar, for providing her with many hours of enjoyment. In accordance with Mom's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Monday, November 6 at the MacKenzie Funeral Chapel, Stonewall. If friends so wish, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Manitoba Heart and Stroke Foundation or a charity of one's choice. MacKenzie Funeral Home, Stonewall in care of arrangements.
