It is with great sadness and tears that we announce the passing of our Dad, Jerry Prymak, who died peacefully after a lengthy stay at the Grace Hospital. Dad is survived by his wife Mary and eight children: daughters, Geraldine (Randy), Janice (John), Maria (Grant), Patricia, and Susan; sons, Harry (Debby), John (Denise), and Joseph (Catherine); eight grandchildren, Brenda-Lynn, Michael, Melanie, Tyler, Peter, Matthew, Cole, Alexandria; great-grandchild Brayden; his sister Anne Cwiak; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family relatives. Jerry was predeceased by his parents, Harry and Maggie Prymak, and his brother Myron Prymak. Dad started his journey through life in the North End and then in East Kildonan where he attended Polson School. He was a self-employed truck driver for most of his working days. Jerry and his wife Mary purchased land in Birds Hill where they raised their family since 1959. Together they started a small business of greenhouse plants and market gardens. Dad retired near the Brokenhead River where he enjoyed the outdoors and fresh air. He would make trails, pick berries and mushrooms, cut wood, feed birds, go fishing with Cole, and spend time with his friends and family. He had many great stories to share and always welcomed everyone. His favourite dog Bart was a constant companion on his many walks. Dad was healthy and happy during his long life. He passed away at the age of 80. A special thank you to all the nurses and staff at the I.C.U. in Grace Hospital. We will always remember and miss Jerry who was a husband, father, brother, uncle, Grandfather (Gigi), Great-Grandfather, and friend. You will always be in our hearts and thoughts. Thank you so much to you Jerry, watching down over us, especially your children. You have done such a wonderful job with your family and I am sure your time spent with them was of great value to the family as a whole. I especially want to thank you for making or allowing Geraldine (a.k.a. Gerrie) Prymak, for being one of the most wonderful people I ever met when I never had a chance to know you or meet you. Thank you again for allowing me to have had the privilege of meeting her and having her in my life. In spiritual friendship, Tamara.....a friend of the family. - Posted by: Tamara Mitchell (Co-Worker to Daughter of Deceased) on: Nov 27, 2014

Jerry Prymak was always so happy to go out fishing, picking blueberries, having fires with friends, and spending good times with all his kids. He had some good dreams about a market garden and greenhouses business. The ten acres they bought, the tractors, equipment, and the many customers who came to buy good, fresh food. The many good days of planting seeds, growing vegetables, picking and selling. Jerry Prymak will be missed. - Posted by: J. () on: Jan 24, 2013
