IRENE PROBE (STEWNER) We say goodbye to a kind and gentle soul, Irene Probe, our Mom, Grandma, aunt and friend at her residence, the Misericordia Health Centre on November 2, 2006. Born October 17, 1919 to Oscar and Eva Stewner the youngest of nine siblings all now deceased. She was predeceased by her loving husband, Joseph Francis Probe in 1992. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Joseph Francis Probe Jr., his children, James, Jarrod, Crystal, great-grandchildren, Autumn and Isaac of Oklahoma; son Robert Bernard, his child Michelle of California. Born and raised in Elmwood, Irene met and married her soulmate Joseph Francis Probe in August of 1941. Together they made their home in the United States returning to Canada in 1988. Winnipeg was Irene's home and this is where she wanted to be. Forever kind and always sweet, she will be missed. The family would like to thank the staff of Cornish 5 in the Misericordia Health Centre for their thoughtful and sensitive care. As per Irene's wishes, no funeral and no service.
