JAMES ERVIN (HERB) CAIRNES James Ervin (Herb) Cairnes, aged 84 years of the Grandview Personal Care Home passed away Thursday, November 23, 2006 at his residence. He is survived by his wife Beatrice; daughter Beverley Langner and husband Bill of Rainy River, ON and their sons, Joel (Rachel) of Brandon and Corey (Kristi) of Atikokan, ON and son Darwyn and wife Cora-Lou of Dauphin and their sons, Ryan (Shey) of Brandon and Carter of Dauphin. Also surviving are his two sisters, Audrey Shoemaker and husband Glen of Grandview and Hazel Childs and husband Bud of Dauphin, sister-in-law Joan Cairnes of Regina and brother-in-law Walter Young of Stonewall, MB. Funeral service will be held on Tuesday, November 28 at 2:00 p.m. in the Grandview United Church, Grandview, MB with Rev. Steve Wilson officiating. The interment will follow in the Grandview Memorial Gardens. A Legion Poppy Memorial Service, conducted by the Royal Canadian Legion Branch No. 14 of Grandview will be held in conjunction with the service.
