CARL GEORG PURPUR Peacefully at his home on November 25, 2006, surrounded by his family, Carl Purpur entered into rest at the age of 79 years. Carl will be missed by his wife Eleanor; children, Susan (Alphy), Wayne, Greg (Teresa) and Alan (Debbie); stepchildren, Kevin (Patricia) and Krystal (Jason); numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother Donald (Fran); and many other family and friends. He was predeceased by his first wife Evelyn; granddaughter Shaelan; parents Henry and Elizabeth; and sister Edna. Carl worked many years for the CPR as a sheet metal foreman. After his retirement he enjoyed golfing, curling, travel, watching all sports and especially spending time with friends and family. He will be sadly missed and always remembered. Visitation 7:00 to 9:00 p.m. Tuesday, November 28, 2006, at Bardal Funeral Home, 843 Sherbrook Street. Funeral service 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, November 29, 2006, at Grace Lutheran Church, 211 Kimberly Avenue, with Pastor Bruce Gelhorn officiating. Private family committal will take place at a later date. The family wishes to thank Dr. Martens and the palliative care nursing staff for their kindness and care.
