Eyvonne leaves to cherish her memory her loving nephew Tom Paci and his wife Denise, loving niece Darlene Moreau (nee Paci) and her husband Michael, their children Adara Ann and Pierce Luke, and all of her other beloved sisters, brothers, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Eyvonne was predeceased by her parents James and Laura Paci, step-mother Caroline, brothers Oliver and Frank, half brother Albert and husband Joseph Rapp. Eyvonne was born in April, 1914 in Winnipeg. She was married to Joseph for nearly forty years before he passed away in 1976. They had no children, but together had a great love for their numerous dogs. For many years, they enjoyed taking their dogs for long walks in the St. Vital neighbourhood where they lived. Eyvonne worked for many years at Parkhill Bedding as a sewing machine operator. Subsequently, she worked many years for her brother Frank in his business, Delite Upholstery. Over the course of many federal and provincial elections, Eyvonne volunteered much of her time to help the CCF, which subsequently became the NDP, elect candidates at both the provincial and federal level. She enjoyed spending her time with family and friends and is lovingly remembered by all. Christmas and other special occasions are particularly remembered by Eyvonne's family and friends, especially her generosity during the holidays. Eyvonne was renowned as a bargain hunter and she especially enjoyed her many numerous trips to Eaton's and The Bay in downtown Winnipeg. Eyvonne was known to her family, friends, doctors, nurses and care givers for her ferocious will to live. The family wishes to thank the staff at Misericordia Place for their devoted care of Eyvonne, especially over the last few months. The family asks that in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Autism Society of Manitoba in the name of her great nephew Pierce Moreau. Prayers will be held at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church on River Avenue on Monday, December 4th at 7:30 p.m. Holy mass of the resurrection will be held on Tuesday, December 5th at the Holy Rosary Catholic Church at 10:00 a.m. with interment to immediately follow at Green Acres.
