ANIELA ANTONINA POLLARD (nee GRACEL) Peacefully on Monday, December 4, 2006, Aniela Pollard passed away at the age of 97 years. Nellie was born in Wygoda, Dolina, Poland on July 11, 1909 and arrived in Canada in 1910 with parents, Marya Wirth and Antoni Gracel. Nellie worked as a seamstress in Eaton's until 1939 when she married Howard Pollard of Kisby, SK. Nellie was predeceased by Howard in 1984, mother in 1957, father in 1973 and brothers, Robert and Nick. Nellie leaves a sister, Agnes Manwieller to mourn her passing; along with niece Lorraine Zuk and sons, Jim and Ken; nephew Gerald Stanick, wife Mary and daughters, Leslie, Toni and Laura of Richmond, BC; Robert's sons, Roderick of Winnipeg, Tim and Perry of Calgary; sister-in-law Margaret Gracel of Winnipeg; cousins and special friend Louise. The family wish to express their appreciation to the 3rd Floor staff at Concordia Place for making the transition from home to nursing home so easy and pleasant. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, December 9 at 1:00 p.m. at Cropo Funeral Chapel, 1442 Main St. with interment at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 4000 Portage Ave. CROPO FUNERAL CHAPEL 586-8044
