Hilda was born and raised in Kinnesota, Manitoba. She married George Anderson on July 31, 1935 and they lived in Bluff Creek, Manitoba until moving to Atikokan, Ontario in 1952. She had many achievements but her greatest one was raising her seven children. Hilda worked for many years at Leishman's Pharmacy in Atikokan. She was a lifetime member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch 145, a member of the Hope Rebekka Lodge #364 and the Anglican Church of the Good Shepherd. She enjoyed volunteering her time working for these organizations. She also enjoyed fishing, bingo and playing cards. A memorial service will be held in Atikokan at a later date, where she will be laid to rest with her husband George (Shorty). A special thank you to the doctor, nurses and staff at the Heritage Lodge for their support and kindness given to Hilda and her family. The extra special care they gave to Hilda this last week meant so much to all of us. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Hilda's memory to the Alzheimer's Society or to the Atikokan General Hospital. PEACE Peace is not something you wish for; it's something you make, something you do, something you are, something you give away.
