Mom was born in Carman Manitoba on September 3, 1917, the twin daughter to Mr. and Mrs. H.W. Clark of Carman. She was predeceased by her husband Lewis, mother Effie, father Huntley, twin brother Donald and sister-in law Mary, oldest sister Viola and brother-in law Alex and sister Thelma. She leaves to mourn one daughter Karen (Don) Lumgair and their children, Curt (Brandi) and Kathi (Don) Hamm and one son Dennis (Barbara) and their children Derek (Michelle) and Adam (Hayley). Winn is also survived by three great-grandchildren; Wade and Chase Lumgair and Geoffrey Hamm as well as many nieces and nephews. Mom and Dad were married in 1943. She enjoyed her life with Dad, took pride in the family farm near Rosebank and resided there until after Dad's passing in 1982. She valued her many Rosebank friends and neighbors, and always looked forward to the birthday club that still continues today. No matter where one of the Rosebank ladies moved to, they were still part of this special bond. In 1984, Mom moved to Morden, then in 1986 sold the family farm to the United Grain Growers and built a new house in Morden. She appreciated the many friends of the Morden Friendship Centre as well as joining the Victoria Rebekah Lodge. During her life she was very active in the Rosebank U.C.W. and the Carman Presbyterial. She was also a member of the Mayflower Rebekah Lodge and served as Nobel Grand, District President and District Deputy President. In 2001, she moved to the 5th Avenue Apartments in Carman and sold her Morden residence. Due to failing health, early in 2006, Mom left her beloved 5th Avenue apartment to reside in Carman Hospital while waiting her new home in Boyne Lodge. The family wishes to thank the many people who took time to visit. God saw you getting weary, so He did what He thought was best; He came and stood beside you, and whispered, Come and rest. Viewing will take place from Doyle's Funeral Chapel in Carman on Thursday, December 28 from 7:00 - 8:00 p.m. A service in celebration of Winifred's life will be held at Carman United Church, 134 1st SW Street, Carman, Manitoba on Friday, December 29th at 11:00am with Rev.
