JANET LOUISE PURDY Peacefully on December 25, 2006 at the St. Boniface Hospital Janet Purdy, aged 64 years, passed away. She leaves us here on earth to be with her parents, Stanley and Mary Pashko (Toronto). Janet leaves to mourn her daughters, Laurette Trudeau of Toronto, Donna (Kevin) Guspodarchuk of Winnipeg and Jennifer (Nick) Lobchuk of Calgary. She is also survived by her siblings, Irene (Reg) Renouf, Helen Wishnowski, Stanley (Pauline) Pashko, Bill (Kathy) Pashko all of Ontario, Donna (Doug) Harris of Florida, several relatives and friends. She will be greatly missed by her three little sidekicks, Caitlin, Catrina and Harmony Guspodarchuk, her granddaughters, whom she loved to pieces. Janet was born in Toronto, Ontario on August 18, 1942, where she worked and lived until 1979, when she came to Winnipeg with James T. Purdy and their two daughters, Donna and Jennifer. Janet was a member of the Jephthah Chapter No. 22, Order of the Eastern Star. She was also a member of the Past Matrons, where she found great joy and much star love. She enjoyed listening to Elvis music, her granddaughters play the piano, gardening, cooking, reading and spending time with her family. The family would like to extend thanks to Dr. Walters, Dr. Armstrong and the entire staff of 5E St. Boniface Hospital for their support. A warm thank you to Pastors Roland and Tim, for their prayers and inspiration. A memorial service is planned for Thursday, January 4, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Transcona Funeral Chapel, 1800 Day Street. Transcona Funeral Chapel in care of arrangements.
