Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryPHYLLIS (MOLLY) PROUDFOOT (nee FOSTER) On January 2, 2007, just short of her hundredth birthday, Molly Proudfoot passed away at the Grace Hospital. Molly was born in Winnnipeg in 1907 and had fond memories of her childhood, playing sports with her four brothers or singing around the piano with her parents Ethel and Arthur Foster. Both Molly and her devoted husband Alex were longtime residents of St. James who shared happy times on the Assiniboine Golf Course, at their cottage at Red Rock Lake and on their winter trips to Florida. After Alex passed away, Molly continued to spend every summer at the cottage until well into her eighties. She loved her bridge games, her books and her music. For the past few years, Molly resided at Kiwanis Courts on Ness Avenue where she enjoyed the kindness and friendship of the staff and residents and where she loved spending her summer afternoons in the beautiful gardens. Molly was predeceased by her husband Alex in 1978; and her four brothers, John, Claude, Athol and Doug. She is survived by her daughter Jane and her husband Al; grandchildren, Laura, Ian and wife Christel, Bruce and wife Jasmin; great-grandchildren, Sam and Ruby and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held on Friday, January 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home, 4000 Portage Avenue. Remembrances may be made in Molly's memory to the St. James Cemetery Board, P.O.
