WAYNE DOUGLAS TUCKER On January 3, 2007, at Concordia Hospital, Wayne Douglas Tucker, aged 57 years, beloved husband of Heidi, passed away. Wayne was predeceased by his mother, Gertrude (nee Newell) in 1969; by his father, Gordon in 1985; and by his cousin and special friend Jimmy in 2002. Besides his wife Heidi, he will also be lovingly remembered by, his stepson Brendan; his daughter, Megan (Paul); his son, Shane (Lindsay); his brother, Bob (Charlie) and their children, Robbie, Matthew (Michelle) and Shannon (Phil); his sister Sandra (Ron); and his brother, Harold (Doreen) and their children Allison and Jenean. Wayne was employed at Canada Post, retiring in 2004 after 34 years of service. He was well known in the Transcona Community, having served as Hi Neighbour Sam, Coach of the Transcona Nationals Football Club, Coach of the East End Wings Soccer Club, Cub Scout Leader and a committee member of Transcona Sports Weekend. He was a member of the Royal Canadian Legion, Transcona Branch No. 7. Wayne loved to help anyone needing assistance. He was a devoted husband, father, brother and uncle, a true friend to all who loved him. He will be especially remembered for coordinating and hosting the Melrose - Pandora backlane BBQ's. The family would like to extend sincere thanks to Dr. Harris and Wayne's Angels in Oncology, and all 3rd Floor Staff and Dr. Caners for all the special care extended to Wayne during his stay. Love is one thing death can not take. Love is the one bond that nothing can break. Love is a cord that time can not sever. Yes, love is eternal, Love is forever. Cremation has taken place. Memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m., Monday, January 8, 2007, at Green Acres Funeral Home, Hwy. No. 1 E. at Navin Rd. Interment of cremated remains will follow in Green Acres Cemetery.
