(LOUISE) ELAINE BRODEUR (nee AUCOIN) With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of our beloved Elaine on January 8, 2007 at the Bethesda Hospital in Steinbach, MB after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She is survived by her husband Hubert and her son Paul of St. Adolphe, MB and by her sister Genesta Scissons of Cape Breton, NS. Elaine was predeceased by her mother, Lucy and father, Austin Aucoin. She will be sadly missed by her brother-in-law Joseph (Lorraine) Brodeur; sisters-in-law, Thérèse (Jacques) Rollier-Brodeur, Jacqueline (Louis) Gratton and Jeannette (Ken) Wood, as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Elaine was born on June 30, 1934 in Glace Bay, NS. She graduated in Nursing from the Hamilton Memorial Hospital in North Sydney, NS. The latter part of her career was spent at the St. Boniface General Hospital. Funeral mass will be celebrated by Fr. Gérald Michaud at the St. Adolphe Roman Catholic Church in St. Adolphe, MB on Friday, January 12 at 2:00 p.m. Interment will take place in the St. Adolphe Parish Cemetery following the mass. The family wishes to thank the staff at the Bethesda Hospital for their dedicated care towards Elaine.
