MARIA (MARY) TYMO (nee STEFANIW) It is with great sadness that our family announces the sudden passing of our mother and baba, Maria Tymo on January 5, 2007 at Seven Oaks Hospital. Maria was born in Dolzanka, Ukraine on July 14, 1914. She spent several years in France, marrying Andrew Tymo before coming to Canada in 1949 and residing in Winnipeg. She was predeceased by her husband Andrew and her brother Alexander Stefaniw. Maria will be sadly missed by her daughter, Lesia (Orlando) Esposito; her grandchildren, Robert, Daniel and Christopher; by her son Bohdan (Carol); and by her nephew Orest Stefaniw. Maria worked at The Winnipeg Tribune and at Labatt's Brewery. Until the end of August, 2006 she still lived at home where during the summers she enjoyed being able to spot in her garden a ripe tomato or strawberry from her kitchen window more than 25 feet away, sending us out to pick them and then telling us to take them home because she had too many. She was a member of the Blessed Virgin Mary (Ukrainian Catholic) Church and enjoyed the activities at the Wednesday Adult Day program at Holy Family Home. Those that met or knew her will always remember her laugh and her great smile. The family wishes to express their gratitude to the staff on the 4th Floor U12 Seven Oaks Hospital for their care and support. A private ceremony took place at Korban Funeral Chapel on Tuesday, January 9 with Father Nestor Yakiwchuk presiding. Interment followed at All Saints Cemetery. Vichnaya Pamyat
