WILLIAM (BILL) JEFFREY RANKINE It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our father, William (Bill) Jeffrey Rankine on January 16, 2007 at the age of 79. Bill was predeceased by his wife, Lois and his parents, Jeffrey and Elsie Rankine. He leaves to cherish his memory his three children, Gary (Lisa) of Anola, MB, Heather (Bob) of Oakbank, MB, Sharon (Dale) of Cold Lake, AB. His grandchildren, Lex, Jeremy, James and Adam. His sister Norma (Bob) and several nieces and nephews. Also his extended family, LynnAnn and Gayland Haslid and girls in Glendive, Montana. Bill was born January 30, 1927 in McCreary, MB. At a young age, the family moved to Anola, MB where they farmed and made their home. Bill made a living farming and working for Merchants Consolidated for 32 years. Bill enjoyed hunting and fishing and in his later years enjoyed travelling to Texas for the winter months. Bill was a loving and caring father and grandfather in his own way and carried all those he loved close to his heart. He touched so many over his life, he will be greatly missed and always remembered. The family would like to extend a huge thank you to Dr. de Moissac and all the staff at the Ste. Anne Hospital for their exquisite care and compassion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society, 193 Sherbrook St., Winnipeg, MB R3C 2B7. In accordance with Bill's wishes, cremation has taken place. A memorial service to celebrate Bill's life will be held Monday, January 22 at 1:00 p.m. at the Anola Fellowship Chapel, 58006 Monominto Rd., Anola, MB. (three miles east of Anola on Hwy. 15 and two miles south on Monominto Road.)
