KATE POLISCHUK Peacefully on Wednesday morning, January 17, 2007, Kate Polischuk (nee Greenway) passed away at West Park Manor with her family at her side. Kate will be lovingly remembered by her sons, Jack, Gerry and Jim; Jack's wife Marion and their children, Nathalia, Kathleen (Richard) with daughters, Audenne and Arielle, Maureen with daughter Darya and son Jack; Gerry's wife Karen and their children, Trevor and Melissa with her daughter Ava. She will also be sadly missed by her brother Ken Greenway of Hamilton. She is predeceased by her husband John; parents, Thomas and Elsie Greenway; brothers, Harold, Charles, Jack; sister Dorothy, and grandson Walter. Mom was born in Spain, lived a short time in England, before immigrating to Lloydminister, Saskatchewan in 1921. She served as a nurse with the R.C.N. during the Second World War, where she met her devoted husband, John, of 57 years. Kate had a love for reading and a passion for poetry. She was actively involved in Women's Aglow and in her church community of St. Patrick and St. Jude. Kate's home, family and friends were held close to her heart. She took a huge interest in her grandchildren and great-grandchildren who were always foremost in her thoughts and prayers. The family wishes to express their thanks and gratitude to the staff of West Park Manor for their kindness and compassion over the years. Memorial service will be held on Friday, January 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. in the Multi-purpose Room of West Park Manor, 3199 Grant Avenue. Chaplain Ken Perry officiating.
