ELWIN HARVEY THOROUGHGOOD Elwin Harvey Thoroughgood born March 14, 1933 in Moffat, SK died suddenly and peacefully January 19, 2007 at St. Boniface Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife Anne of 46 years; daughter Brenda (Brian); sons, Neil (Helen), Craig and Garth (Danna); grandchildren, Meghan, Sarah, Nolan and Macey; brothers, Ray and Ross; sisters, Beth Hamilton and Joyce Nimis and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends. Working for the TD Bank for 38 years, Elwin and his family lived in Saskatchewan, Ontario and Manitoba. This as well as his many hobbies and volunteer involvement in organizations leaves many lifelong friends to miss his sense of humour and compassion. He felt strongly about sharing his time and talents with others and supported / volunteered for numerous organizations including the Lions Club and most recently Agape Table and Highsteppers. Elwin was an active lifelong member of the United Church of Canada. Many favourite memories were created and shared with family and friends at the little piece of paradise at Royal Lake. Cremation and interment have taken place. A service to celebrate Elwin's life will be held at Windsor Park United Church, 1062 Autumnwood Dr., Monday, January 22 at 3:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Agape Table or the Mission and Service Fund of the United Church of Canada.
