PHYLLIS CLAIRE PROUSE (nee HUNTER) Phyllis passed away peacefully on January 30, 2007 at the Grace Hospital. She was 83 years of age. She will be sadly missed by her husband of 64 years John; her son Gordon (Valerie); daughter Barbara Doll (Gil); grandchildren, Lonnie (Mike), Garth, Kyle, Laura, Travis (Alethea), Scott, Meghan, Kyla and five great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by son Douglas. Phyllis was born and lived her entire life in Winnipeg, graduating from Riverbend, (Balmoral Hall). She most enjoyed her summers from childhood to last summer at the family cottage at Whytewold Beach. John and Phyllis had many wonderful holidays in Hawaii and Florida over the years. They also loved their Friday night dinners with friends first at the Winter Club and then the St. Charles Golf and Country Club. Phyllis also did volunteer work for the Ste. Agnes Guild. As per her request, a private family service will be held. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to any charity of choice.
