Send Flowers to the Family Offer Condolences or MemoryELMER DAVID POLLON Passed away peacefully at the Nanaimo Hospital on January 16, 2007 at the age of 88. He was born in Clanwilliam, MB. He was predeceased by his wife Donia in September 1994. He will be sadly missed by his daughter and son in-law Kathy and Bob McGillivray and his son Tony Pollon all of British Columbia, as well as many grandchildren and relatives. He lived a very interesting life. He left Manitoba to go to British Columbia on the old Freight trains, riding in the box cars and taking work wherever he could find it. He later joined the army and along the way met a young lady by the name of Donia St. Germain of Winnipeg, who became his dearly beloved wife. Elmer became a first class carpenter in his working years and was very well known for his great workmanship as a carpenter in Winnipeg. Elmer and Donia later on retired to Ladysmith, British Columbia. Elmer had written many songs and had them recorded and sung by his son Tony. These songs have been played world wide and still are to this day. Elmer will be sadly missed by many people. Elmer was a father to be very proud of. We loved you dad.
